“Sovereign Citizens”, always entertaining
my question, has this stuff EVER worked!?

I love this shit.
Sovereigns are fuckwits that live in the US and use public infrastructure and services but don’t feel obligated to follow the laws that come with those privileges.

don’t do it. I watched a sovereign citizen video once and now my whole recommended youtube video feed is full of sovereign citizens and white supremacy videos

These idiots.
The “I don’t recognise your authority” people. They are all over the world, usually the developed richer nations and think laws, etc... don’t apply to them purely because they’ve said they don’t.
They sure as hell recognise it if it will benefit them.

it was nice to see a video where they weren’t really given any leeway. Just, you broke this law, its a real law, here’s the consequence.

Ran into a dude at the bar who had forms for a World Passport. He claimed it would remove his citizenship, allow him to remain in the US and not pay taxes. He mentioned some famous musician/rapper/waste of space was a member.
This seemed like an awesome hoax.

It never works, because it’s all made up bullshit. They treat it like it’s magic; like all you have to do is say these words in this order with this fake paper - sprinkle some
fairy dust
bullshit on it, and you can get away with literally anything. Like claiming you can drive without a drivers license because you’re not driving, you’re “traveling.”

Every Sovereign is that person who has always been “outsmarted” or given “a raw deal” by smarter people then them who finally finds out how to outsmart “the system”.
Every damn time its the same narrative of “being awakened” or “learning the real secret” I feel bad for their significant others or family.

Sometimes I lay awake at night, worried that one day my dad and I will be smoking cigars and he will casually bring up his new travelling license or some such other thing. Gives me the heeby-jeebies.

“ahh.. dad, that sounds like a pyramid scheme”
oh man, a pyramid business model for supplying people with travelling licenses and other sovereign citizen documents and needs. I’M GONNA BE RICH!!!

While never confirmed, I believe my uncle lost his house due to pulling stuff like this with the IRS. The last time I saw him he was explaining all these theories that sounded a lot like the sovereign citizens stuff. Although intelligent, he was always a big fan of conspiracy and other theories. Impressively crazy stuff.

In a company truck no less! You do not want to fuck with BP dudes. I used to go shooting with a few, and they were all former Marines who were used to people listening to exactly what they told them while running checkpoints. The guys I know would have been much less friendly.

If I was an officer I would just go “Oh, you’re allowed to not have a license and registration because of these ancient laws that were never superceded by modern laws? Well good! Cause the punishment for breaking those laws involved the stocks in the town square! Can I see a handwritten note of your manifest and cargo please? You don’t have those either? 24 hours in the stocks it is! Oh you want to see that law? Well show me the law that says that the old law is still active and I’ll show you the punishment”
